One day the office mates got together and went out for happy hour.  Leaving from their office, which is located in Providencia, which place did they choose? El Mamut.

Mamut is the name of a chain of fast food restaurants in the style of Friday's, that is to say American style. Spacious and with more than french fries and hamburgers inside the menu, looking for an abundant selection of quality food is not  a problem.  The dishes are simple, yet delicious. They make good use of ingredients that could be considered exotic for traditional food (like the African fish called Tilapia), and furthermore, it's cheap. One is able to enjoy a meal of fish in a shrimp sauce (Tilapia and Shrimp), pasta with seafood, as well as an incredible double-hamburger, or enchiladas and tacos.

It is a great mix with a sufficient variety.  In one visit with a good choice from the menu, one is left extremely satisfied -apart from having had two mojitos thanks to the happy hour- for just $9,000 CLP.  Not bad, and it gets even better considering that if you don't want to have an alcoholic beverage, the other drinks come with free refills. The service is also quite good.

If you are thinking of a place where you can eat well, that falls between traditional and fast food, where there is a table for seven, and an atmosphere that allows relaxed laughing after a day at the office, I would recommend to you el Mamut of Pedro de Valdivia.
