Mini hamburger, one of the innovations that offers TapasPassion.
The new tapas "gastrobar" in Providencia ,"TapasPassion", is elegant with a minimalist style and excellent service, a real pleasure!
The concept of tapas is not new, however, this place is offering exquisite miniatures to taste, the idea being "tasting a little bit of everything", as the owner of the restaurant Milagros Portocarrero states.
The menu is original and innovative with intense flavors. Dishes such as the "Rabo de Toro" ("Oxtail") - really delicious - and the ""Mejillones de Tigre" ("Tiger Mussels") are two of the stars most sought-after. The flavor of the meat - cooked for hours in red wine with cinnamon and other spices - is unbeatable.
The "Tostones de hongos con jamón Ibérico" ("Mushroom Croutons with Iberian Ham") are also very delicious, but when it comes to describe and recommend some of the dishes, I suggest you to go there and taste for yourself, because no dish will disappoint you.
The atmosphere is very nice and comfortable, the place is spacious with a great bar and there's even an interior patio for smokers.
In addition to the main dishes there's a quite tempting selection of desserts, from which I chose the "Torta San Marcos" ("San Marcos Cake"), a typical Spanish pie that comes in a cup with gelatina and whisky dice…which melt in your mouth while savoring the cake.
Prices start from $3.000 - $4.000 CLP, but keep in mind that it's about miniatures, which means that you are supposed to taste different tapas that bring you to a total cost of about $15.000 CLP per person, including drinks and dessert. Quite reasonable.
It's a good option for fine and luxury food lovers, in a beautifully redecorated house in Pedro de Valdivia.
