I would say that one of the best things in life is eating ice-cream. No matter if it's summer or winter, a delicious and creamy ice-cream is always welcome.

Luckily, ice-cream places recently have spread all over Santiago. It's not difficult to find good places to sit down and enjoy a generous portion of unusual tastes, like Toasted Wheat Flour, which is offered at several places already.

Until some time ago, my "world of ice-cream" was of limited criteria, a good cone and a delicious taste of chocolate were enough to make me happy. Until I went to Emporio La Rosa for the first time. My low expectations for chocolate past immediately, finding myself with options like "Peperoncino Chocolate" - one of my favorite tastes consisting of chocolate and pepper - "Orange Chocolate", "Chocolate with Basil", combinations of green tea and mango, chestnut, etc.

A totally new world of ice-cream opened up for me, fascinated by the creaminess of the best ice-cream I have eaten in my life. There was a summer where I crossed Parque Forestal every day to go to the place on Merced, which back them was the only branch of Emporio La Rosa. Later I calmed down and discovered other places, such as the Cafetería of the Opera Catedral that also makes an effort to come out with new flavors and good ice-cream, though the ones from Emporio can only be compared to the ones offered at a new place near the Mercado Central I don't know how it's called or it might not even have a particular name, but I know that it's very small and that's it's part of the agency Turistik, which organizes city tours for foreigners.

At the cafeteria of Turistik close to the Mercado I tried a Roasted Wheat Flour ice-cream for the first time and I loved it. The Chocolate one is also tasty and the Berry flavor also deserves to be mentioned. However, the number of flavors and their creativity cannot be compared to Emporio, because the agency is more dedicated to tourism than ice-cream, with the plus of offering a delicious desert after a tasty fish stew or soup.

However, not everything is perfect. The only thing I can say against Emporio - although I never go there to have anything else than ice-cream, so I cannot say anything about their other food or coffee - is that it's always crowded, at least the branch on Merced, and that you are not allowed to sit down in certain sectors if you are only getting ice-cream. Bad. I find it very disturbing having a waitress telling me in a rude way "you cannot sit here, this is only for the cafeteria, you can go outside or sit at the tables at the end". Though, this disappointment is not as big as my devotion to their ice-cream, so there is no option,
