In Chile, it is quite common to hit up a happy hour after a day at the office, unwind with a nice pisco sour.
If near metros Tobalaba or El Golf, one good option could be Pub Licity. Fun and generally full of young and middle-age professionals, this rather large bar has quite a lot to offer as far as happy hour goes. Running from noon to 9:30 p.m., it´s basically happy hour all the time, as even after 9:30 p.m. they still offer certain drink specials until midnight.
For the area, Pub Licity´s happy hour prices are fairly good, on both drinks and food. Rather than going the two-for-one route, this bar does cheaper prices, usually more than a Luka slashed from the original price, including the food.
Unfortunately, beer, wine and salads are full price at all times. I went there once to catch the Copa América Chile v. Peru game and was quite pleased with the festive environment and a view of the game in every direction. Being a lover of Mexican food and seeing that their menu had all kinds of Mexican classics, a friend and I opted to split the Mexinachos. I must admit, I was not impressed in the least. First of all, they were cold; secondly, I´m simply spoiled by knowing a nacho´s potential. So if you´re focused more on food than drink, I think there are better places out there.
Considering themselves to be a "pioneer" of happy hours in Chile, this Pub Licity on Av. El Bosque, founded in 1994, was the first of now three locations around the city. While it´s not my favorite, it is yet one more option out there, one more place to spend a few happy hours.
