New Years 2012

New Years 2012

Well, there are many different ways to say farewell to the old year; dancing, being with family, camping, being outside of the city, etc. Everyone has their own style and preferences, however, I think that we need to send off 2011 with everything we've got. It could be the last time we get to celebrate new years (the world is supposed to en on December 21, 2012).

In an attempt to help you celebrate like never before, here is a list of some interesting parties, brought to you by Ciu Santiago.

Fonda The Clinic
Starting on the 1st and lasting for as long as they can hold out, there are sure to be cumbers, cuecas, and insanity. They will be serving ceviche at night, a consommé in the morning (a traditional Chilean soup… what an ideal thing to have after parties), and at 10 in the morning, SKEWERED GOAT! which, as they have said so themselves: For champions.
Monjitas 578 $12,000 CLP Tickets on sale in The Clinic's store (José Miguel de La Barra 459)

Open Blondie Deluxe
A classic. In the Club Hípico of Santiago, with masks and costumes. 3 dances floors and lots of booze. Chilean New Wave music, cumbia, new wave, brit pop, electronica and more. For all tastes,
Av. Blanco Encalada 2540. Starting at midnight. Tickets: $9.000 until the 31 of December and $12.000 CLP general

Castillo Hidalgo 2012
This is more exclusive and has a VIP section. Open bar all night, two dance floors and three atmospheres. Pachanga, cumbia, current hits, and 80's and 90's music. There will also be a "chillout electronic" terrace. There will also be buses available to go up to the Castillo.
Santa Lucía 299. Starting at 1:30a.m. until 7.00a.m. $25.000, $30.000 and $40.000 CLP. Tickets available through Ticketmaster.

Fiesta Miami Horror en Zapallar
Fauna Productions is also joining in the new years festivities with a concert featuring the australian Miami Horror and Javiera Mena, in one of the most ritzy ballrooms of Chile, Zapallar. There will be two atmospheres and many hipsters, for sure.
Camping in Zapallar, a distance of 500 meters from Catapilco to the Cruce de Laguna.

Starting at 10:p.m. until 6:00a.m. $25.000 y $30.000 CLP. Tickets available through Punto Ticket.
