Located within a parking garage, the first perception of Barcelona is simply a question of, what am I getting myself into?

Officially named Alto Providencia, (which I didn´t even know until I began writing this article), everyone refers to this nightclub as Barcelona. I can assure you that upon entering, you´re taken far away from the concrete and cars, right into a really hip, happening night club.

The music is pounding and the place is always packed, so much so that it´s generally like a sauna in there with all of those bodies moving. Despite the heat, I always have a great time dancing here. The music is very pop-esk, and yes some reggaeton mixed in, but it´s a dance club, so that´s par for the course.

Drink wise, prices are reasonable, and entrance prices vary upon the day and time you go. However, if you go before 1 a.m., it´s dead; things don´t really get going until about 1:30-2 a.m…from there you dance until dawn.

A fun night for dressing up a bit and dancing to pop, Barcelona´s a great weekend option. Also, if you´ve got the itch to get the party started early, they have started their own After Office every Thursday, in which young professionals come in their business garb and have a place to "release their stress." Due to having work the next day, this party lasts from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. (*note: "1 a.m.") Though I´ve not been to the After Office, I hear it is stress relieving indeed.

Due to location, there is naturally plenty of parking, however, we in no way, shape, or form advocate drinking and driving. Taxis are cheap. So, put you dancing shoes on, maybe slap on some lipstick (naturally applies to women only, well, ok, anyone who feels the urge) and go have a ball!
