Some time ago, leaving the Lastarria Neighborhood in direction to Merced street, I discovered Planta Maestra, a natural products store which I found to be very simple, though very nicely arranged.
The place is small, however, it is well organized and it’s easy to find your way around yourself, which doesn’t mean that the staff isn’t helpful. They are very nice and well informed (highly appreciated) about their strictly natural and organic products.
Among their product line are roasted products, such as sesame (black and white), Quinoa, Chía, black and Mung beans, and a wide range of other seeds as well as exotic derivatives of cacao combined with lemongrass, golden berry and chocolate coated cacao grains, a delight for all who know about and love chocolate. You can find also a variety of organic and in shade grown coffee as well as in Chile roasted one, which guarantees its freshness. Natural beauty products complete the wide range of products offered.
A bonus of the store is the underground level, where often expositions and workshops about music therapy are organized (limited spots), which are intended for those who want to learn more about a healthy way of life that goes beyond a healthy diet.
Next Workshop:
Saturday, 3rd December at 7pm. Opening of exposition “Arte Visionario de la Amazonía Peruana" (Visionary Art of the Peruvian Amazon). Juan Carlos Taminchi and Maude Cliché, creators of the exposition, will give an explication about the paintings and the NGO that they are forming in the Amazon. Free Entrance.
