The kings of the night, !!! (Chk chk chk) in the great performance they did at Primavera Fauna 2011. Photo by Mr. P
Last Saturday, 5th November 2011, was - very successfully I would say - carried out the eagerly awaited Festival Primavera Fauna. It was very well organized, there were shuttle buses to Espacio Braodway, food stands with - considering the type of event - quite reasonable prices, alcohol and even a swimming pool.
The music could be heard from everywhere and the national and international stages were situated close, but not too close to each other and also it was not necessary to take a decision about which band to listen to and which one to leave out, because when one finished the next one started to play. Awesome.
In general, I think that the day developed very well, with only a few delays to the initial itinerary, however, considering the next edition of the festival the staff should think about extending it to two days, as that many hours an average human body does not stand and the bands scheduled last could not enjoy playing for a big and energetic audience anymore.
I'm not going to do any musical reviews here, but YES the band !!! (Chk chk chk ) was incredible and the performance of Gepe and his guests - he played with Pedro Piedra later joined by Andrés Nusser of Astro in order to play a version of "Maestro Distorsión" - was awesome and also that VHS or Beta surprised me. About The Raveonettes I will only state that they reminded me of My Bloody Valentine and that Intimate Stranger, who I had known a little bit only, are pretty good too.
A good day, good location, good organization. I would say that this edition of Primavera Fauna on a scale from 1 to 10 definitely is worth a 8.
