As we know, the national music scene is moving quite a bit. There are popping up new bands of all genres and of good quality all over Chile. That’s also how Mecánico appeared a project lead by Ignacio Ramirez and Nicolás Parra who published yesterday their second sequel with video "Street Royal" (free download available).

The movie work by Daniel Molina is quite fresh, not because of the recent publication, but because of excellent images of a sunny trip through Santiago and along the coast. I dare to say that the subject is familiar to all of us, but as always it’s better to leave the artistic work to everyone’s interpretation.

I don’t know if the video was inspired by the movie “Velódromo” (2010) by Fuguet, but I won’t hold it back that I liked the material so much because it reminded me (from beginning to the end) of the latest movie of the author of “Sobredosis”. Although it's very cliché, I love the movies by Alberto Fuguet.

However, this is not about Fuguet, but about Mecáico and its latest and straightforward video “Street Royal”.

Note: Mecánico will perform at the festival Primavera Fauna on Saturday, 5 November 2011.
