After being featured in Travie McCoy’s video “Millionaire," Bruno Mars has become a familiar name in pop music -and he will be in now be in Santiago for his first show in Chile on January 19th, 2012.
Born in Hawaii and growing up in a family of musicians, today he is currently signed to Elektra Records. He is known for spanning a wide range of musical styles such as rock, pop, reggae, hip hop, and soul, and working with artists such as the previously mentioned Travie McCoy, Cee Lo Green, B.o.B., among others.
While some of his songs portray a darker side, Mars also likes to incorporate a fun, laid-back atmosphere, and show his sense of humor in others. For example, in the video of “The Lazy Song” he is surrounded by people wearing bear masks, performing a choreographed dance. He has been referred to by the New York Times as one of the “most versatile and accessible singers in pop.”
