
Treatment to show-off beautiful feet
Summer, heat, sandals. A lot of women are embarrassed to show their feet and prefer to suffer the terrible suffocation of their shoes or sneakers before undressing their little feet.
But it's not only about esthetics, remember that not taking care of your feet can have bad consequences for your knees, hips and back. So it's not only about wearing or not wearing sandals, but also about taking care of your body. It's very recommendable to wear comfortable shoes and not to torture yourself with exaggerated heels or platforms. There's a simple rule which I once learned: If it hurts, something is wrong.
Another important aspect is the skin, which often doesn't have enough glands to produce lubricating oil, so it is necessary to be aware of some basic rules to keep your feet healthy.
According to Alexandra Gallegos, author of the article "Pies ¡Tanto que los quiero!" ("How much I love feet") of the magazine Mujeres (Women) of Publimetro, the first step would be to exfoliate your feet in order to get rid of the dead cells. Afterwards, put the feet in warm water with soap for 15 minutes and finally rub them with a pumice stone which you can even find at La Vega⎯ in order to soften the skin, especially the one of your heels. After rinsing and drying well, it's important to use some kind of moisturizing lotion especially for feet - there are of different brands and not too expensive - or just body lotion.
If you don't suffer from illnesses that ask for a medical treatment, the above mentioned three steps - followed daily or at least on a regular basis - will help you to keep your feet healthy and nice to show off your sandals this summer.
Note: If you have athlete's foot, try putting a paste made of sodium bicarbonate mixed with a bit of water between your toes until it dries and rinse - or put your feet in apple vinegar mixed with a bit of warm water for 10 minutes. Both treatments should be done daily.
