For my friends, your friends, and all the friends in the world: Salud!
I am aware my self-reference when I write notes for Ciu Santiago, but in the end it is because I am always trying to make you see that I am giving you first-hand information and that I am not making it up. Today, however, I am not writing so much to inform, rather to give to say "thank you" for all of the incredible people that I have met over the past few years… of course, this note has become VERY personal.
For this week's Video of the Week, I have chosen this registry, made by our friends, La Vitrola -Julián Peña singing La Jardinera, by Violeta Parra-, because it makes me think of various things that can sum up the year. I am mainly thankful for my friends, the great, incredible friends that I have, these beautiful people, impartial, generous, with whom one spends time with just because, because you love them. This magical bond has nothing to do with being related, but more to do with the energy of attraction.
This video makes me think in my dear friend, Eva, who just had a baby, which she named Julián; In my friend Natalia, who has shown me the subtle feminine strength, and how potent Violeta Parra was; in my friend Gabriela, who has a beautiful daughter named Violeta and who has inspired me to consider becoming a mother; in all of my friends that enjoy life as much as I do.
I would like to mention all of them, but aside from being boring, I do not want to leave anyone out. So, I will say: "Salud por mis amigos" (Cheers to my friends), to each and everyone of them, close and far away. I hope that they know that part of who I am is because of them, their advice, their help, and their existence. So, just like Violeta Parra wanted to have a garden to distract her and help her to get over her suffering of love, to me, my friends are the garden that cultivates the earth of my heart.
