One of the paintings exhibited at Edificio Telefónica.

Besides being one of the creators of Cubism, Picasso was a master of engravings. Considered one of the big ones of the 20th century, this Spanish painter who died in 1973 realized more than two thousand pieces of art, 70 of them now are exhibited at the Fundación Telefónica.

Celebrating their 15 years of existence, Fundación Telefónica and Minera Escondida have done a big effort to bring to Chile one of the probably most complex expositions of Picasso that have been realized in Latin America, states Eugenio Carmona, the Spanish artistic director of the exhibition.

Engravings and lithographs are shown in the exhibition separated into two sections that are dedicated to different subjects developed by the painter between 1904 and 1971 and that will be exhibited until April 1 2012.

Entrance is free and opening hours are until 9pm, so there’s no excuse. A real good ending of the year with Matta and Picasso in Santiago.
