We´re always talking about how modern Santiago is, but there´s another side of Santiago worth mentioning as well. Historic Santiago, downtown, where the detail in architecture is exquisite.
Composed mainly of 19th Century, elegant buildings, the historic area houses grand palaces, churches and apartments. Right down to the intricate door knobs, this area takes you back in time, to when Santiago was first becoming attractive to thousands in northern and southern Chile.

Sometimes when you get excited for something and anxiously await it, you feel a bit let down after it arrives. You expected more, you got less.
That was absolutely not the case for the Hubbard Street Dance Chicago (HSDC) performance. I had done so much investigating prior to their arrival here in Chile, that I had really built them up in my head and they did not disappoint, yet further impress.

Thirty-nine powerful photos never seen before in Chile, shot just days after the 11 September, 1973 military coup, the start of a 17-year dictatorship.
Words are not needed, the photos silently screaming thousands.
