Pulsar 2011.
This year we have had the Art Fair, the Book Fair, and for the second time we will have a Music Fair, as the first meeting of the Chilean music industry Pulsar, is back. This year it counts with more than 40 live presentations, musical clinics, conferences and parties.
Pulsar was born in 2010 thanks to the "need of an institution to develop, discuss and analyze the national music industry", as Pulsar states on its website. That's how a platform was set-up for creators, fans, collectors, academics and people involved in the music business, which is of high importance considering the number of musicians in our country.
This time Pulsar will take place at the Cultural Center Estación Mapocho, providing more room as in 2010 where the audience crowded the GAM.
Besides the wide range of live music en-vivo including juicy names, such as "Chancho en Piedra", Pulsar 2011 will include exhibitions and the sale of music related products, plus catalogs of independent labels and even descriptions of academic programs and new technological products available on the market.
Administered by the Chilean Music Foundation - a non-profit organization created by the SCD- , Pulsar 2011 is an excellent project in the interest of the development of musical heritage of Chile. And as we from CiuSantiago like to promote national bands, WE ARE GIVING AWAY 3 TICKETS for the opening day! You only need to subscribe to our newsletter and leave a comment on this post. Good luck!
*The names of the winners will be announced on our Twitter and Facebook accounts
