Montemapu was founded in 2008 by Global Blue, an organization with the aim of realizing events of electronic music in Chile. Besides the music that moves Montemapu, the organization wants to create a real conscience for the environment.

Montemapu – meaning “Save the Earth” in Mapudungun – has arrived more than four years ago to show us how badly we treat the Earth. Focused on the subject of global warming and its consequences, the festival will have theoretical and practical workshops (2011’s edition was focused on recycling).

For its 5th edition in 2012, Montemapu will be carried-out in the municipality of Buin, at the Balneario El Trebol which provides large green areas, gardens and swimming-pools. The perfect location for the festival. There will be four stages: Stage Psy Full On, House-Techno-Minimal, Alternative-Chillout Circle and Cultural-Global Warming.

An excellent way of helping the Earth (and to end the summer), enjoy good music as well as take part in activities that support the coexistence of us humans. Tickets are on sale since November and the sooner you buy them, the cheaper they are.
