Festival Canto por Chile
It has already become a habit in our country that in spring and summer many music festivals festivales musicales take place. In this case the cause of the festival is a very noble one: A fairer Chile.
Canto por Chile is an initiative of Un Techo para Chile, a volunteer organization that works in the construction of basic accommodation for people of limited resources and the training and support of the people in order to give them tools which help them improve their social situation.
The idea of the festival consists in a series of presentations of national well-known and new artists, however, I don't fully understand if the idea is to collect money to help finance the organization, buy material or something else.
Whatever the intention is - as long as it's a good one - it's a good excuse to join the festival full of enthusiasm and enjoy the performances of Ana Tijoux, Chancho en Piedra, Chinoy, Fulano, Francisca Valenzuela, Lilits, Los Jaivas, Los Ex, Manuel García, Papa Negro, Sinergia, Tizana, Villa Cariño, the very funny Keko Yoya y varios más.
