Dov Simens
Dov Simens is the founder of the "Hollywood Film Institute", dean and professor of his own film school. Considered by many the father of independent cinema, this director, producer and film maestro was elected the "Number One Film Instructor of the US" by the National Association of Film Schools.
Dov Simens is also considered the most authorized person concerning cinematographic production and education in Hollywood, that's why he was named "Mr. Hollywood" by the movie magazine MovieMaker where he had worked as editor and consultant. He was the teacher of Quentin Tarantino, Darren Aronofsky, Will Smith, George Clooney, Michael Jackson, Robert Rodríguez, Guy Ritchie, Queen Latifah, Spike Lee, and of the creators of "The Blair Witch Project", "The Matrix" and more. On the 19th of this month we will have the honor to receive him in our country for a seminar of two days.
The seminal called "2-Day Film School With Dov Simens" has travelled very successfully to countries such as the US, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, France and recently to the South American countries Peru and Colombia, teaching methods for cinematographic production, techniques and formulas of independent cinema as well as the guidelines to produce a low-budget movie.
