In Santiago, there is quite an abundant amount of theatrical productions, including works by well-known theater companies and others, much newer, as is the case of Con pecados concebidas, With Sins Conceived, by the La Matrera Company. Directed by Ramón Mazuela, the play delves into the questions of the religious life.

Metro Cuadrado
A simple film really, yet convoluted with emotion. And finally, a love story one could actually relate to; it has no Hollywood grandeur, it´s real, natural and overall, a very good movie.
Last night at the Centro Arte Alameda, Metro Cuadrado (Squared Meter) had its first private showing to a full house including the director Nayra Ilic, the actors, press and other special guests. As this is Ilic´s first feature film, you could sense her nervousness as she introduced film and thanked all for coming.

The many spaces of the Matucana 100 Cultural Center.
In Santiago, there are dozens of cultural centers offering quality theater productions. We recently spoke about the unique Teatro del Puente, and now we´d like to add Matucana 100 to the list.
Close to either Quinta Normal or Estación Central metro stations, Matucana 100 is a beautifully constructed cultural center that has been serving Santiago with quality productions since 2001.

In Santiago, there are various interesting places, both architecturally and in what they offer. We have the GAM for example, which, with its metallic covering and modern architecture, houses a variety of cultural events. There is also the Centro Cultural Palacio La Moneda (The La Moneda Palace Cultural Center) where in its grand underground space, has the capacity for visual arts, movies, design and other artistic expressions.
