Red Bull Soap Box Race

Red Bull Soap Box Race

For the first time the eagerly awaited “Red Bull Soap Box Race” will make its way to Chile, where participants need to build a human-powered soapbox to throw themselves at full speed down a slope of 600-800 meters and hoping for “the best”, which means to arrive complete and make one out of 3 awards that will be given away.

The first edition of this event was carried-out in Belgium in 2000 and since then it has been realized in almost 30 countries, such as Austria, England, Sweden, The Czech Republic, Australia and many more.

The competition includes a touch of creativity, speed, and of course a lot of fun as the criteria of evaluation is based on the duration of the descent, the inventiveness of the vehicle’s design and of the capability to entertain the audience. Among the prizes given away there are trips as well as motocross and karting classes.

This might be one of the most entertaining competitions, challenging the Chilean’s creativity, braveness and humor.
